The Most Cinematic Bondage Ever!

There is NO bondage more EXCITING, more SPECTACULAR, more TREMENDOUS than film school bondage with old reel-to-reel films!

Snapping into the Ready Position

The term "bottoms up" isn't about drinking for slavegirls. It's a order. Granted, one they love to hear.

Image source: Kink.com shoot 16841 "Adorable Jessi Palmer is Suspended By Just Her Pigtails and Ankles and Fucked" starring Jessi Palmer and James Deen. I just love they way she pops her butt right up in the air. I can almost hear her saying, "Sir! Yes sir!"

She Lied So Blatantly She Should Have Been A Politician

"You're the one, Rocko, the only one, my heart beats only for you! Oh, that guy fucking me up the ass right now? He means NOTHING to me, Rocko, nothing!"

Fifty Shades Seedlings

"Oh, so THAT'S what bondage is all about! Oh! Oh! Oh my!" Image source: Hogtied.com.

Kink.com is not the only bondage-related thing that is getting mainstreamed of late. "Soft" bondage, whatever that is, is also taking off according to a report in Entertainmentwise.com, which is not exactly a fetish site, as you'll note.

The article, basically a fluff piece, interviews James Deen (known well from Kink.com) who is fast becoming the go-to guy as bondage's most well-known star and a manufacturer of a line of sex aids/toys called Liberator (There may be some sexism going on here, there have been MANY well-known and successful women who have promoted and advanced sexual bondage over the years ... Midori, Lorelei Imboch, Chanta Rose, the list is very long indeed, yet James Deen is the go-to source for the press. Well at least they are going to someone who actually does bondage.)

The Liberator people obligingly ascribe the upward boost in sales of their products to an increase of awareness of "soft" bondage and interest in it, created by "50 Shades of Grey." And they're probably right. I'm seeing other articles in which bondage is being matter-of-factly described as a culture phenomenon rather than some bizarre fetish, like this one on celebrity bondage looks from Hollywoodife.com, which asks which actress looks best in leather "bondage" fashion.

What I see happening is that the effects of Fifty Shades of Grey are beginning to appear in our culture. Fifty million seeds have been planted, their effects are invisible as they grow in our collective unconscious, now we see the first tiny shoots poking above the unconscious into mainstream media. Gonna be interesting to watch and see what grows, and how it grows.

Warning Tremors

"It's fun to whip her, but it's quicker to lick her." And the guy in this image is teen-girl-popular porn star James Deen. Image source: Sex and Submission.com.

Found an article on Alternet wondering when BDSM became so wildly popular. The interesting element of the article was its date: it was published in June 2010, well before the advent of "Fifty Shades of Grey."

The people at Alternet definitely showed some prescience in running such an article just ahead of Fifty Shades of Grey, clearly someone at the progressive site was feeling the advance tremors of the cultural volcano that is Fifty Shades of Grey.

The tremors were as nothing to the explosion, of course. What the article cites is things like the success of Kink.com and kink no longer being considered a mental illness and Christina Aguilera's kinky outfits she wore in music video, and Aguilera's predecessor, Madonna with her Sex book back in the 80s (which if I recall, was a bomb).

All in all it is weak beer compared to Fifty Shades of Grey, the equivalent of the filler material my flying monkeys brought in for posts to jam in between the tons of stuff they brought in about Fifty Shades this summer -- only scattered over a couple of decades instead of a few months, because there just wasn't that much going on in the mainstream wrt BDSM.

When you got the top three books on the New York Times bestseller list containing a story of bondage, dominance and spanking, fifty million copies sold mostly to soccer moms, and James Deen (see above) an idol of teenaged girls in America, well you are in a WHOLE DIFFERENT BALLPARK. But to be fair, Alternet's contributors knew SOMETHING was up, more than you could say about a lot of the mainstream media.

Of course, some people, such as me, were feeling the tremors six years ago. What can I say? Prescient!

James Deen Is Not Having Sex With Lindsay Lohan (at the moment)

An actress who is probably not Lindsay Lohan, she's probably Trina Michaels, but she IS having sex with James Deen on camera. Image source: Sex and Submission video 14624.

The flying monkeys brought in this interesting tidbit, an article in the Huffington Post's celebrity section to the effect that porn star James Deen (see above) is not sleeping with actress Lindsay Lohan.

I'll bet you were as shocked as I am to receive the news. I mean, the sheer CHUTZPAH of presenting a story about someone NOT sleeping with someone as NEWS! I mean, come on! I'M not having sex with Lindsay Lohan either! I think it likely that a not inconsiderable fraction of readers of this blog are not having sex with Lindsay Lohan as well!

Granted, Ms. Lohan and Mr. Deen do have some acquaintance, as they are playing lovers in Brett Easton Ellis' film, "The Canyons." But that's as far as it goes, says Dean.

Now my acquaintance with Ms. Lohan is somewhat slight, in that she probably has no idea that I exist and would be horrified to discover that I did. And yet, despite all this, I am still not having sex with Lindsay Lohan. I want that understood!

And you, gentle readers, if you happen not to be sleeping with Lindsay Lohan, feel free to leave a comment in response to this post explaining that you are not having sex with Lindsay Lohan, and the circumstances that have led to your not having sex with Lindsay Lohan. The world deserves to know!

James Deen: The Dom Heartthrob

"OMG! He's so CUTE!" Image source: Sex and Submission.

James Deen is an actor/model who plays the role of dom in a lot of Sex and Submission.com videos, as well as working for other online adult filmmakers. And he's getting press as being, not just a porn star ... but a pornstar who appeals to women.

It's no secret that women are watching ... not just reading ... porn in increasing numbers. But since porn's audience has historically been male, those women who watched it generally had to pick from among the least ugly male stars who seemed to dislike women the least. Especially in mainstream porn (i.e., vanilla non BDSM porn) women tend to get slapped, spat on and generally treated like crap as part of what now passes for "normal" in porn. It's all consensual, but what the hell, it's not to my taste, consensual or not, and I can imagine a lot of women don't like it, though I'm sure some do. Point is, women who watch porn have to go through an awful lot of rubbish to find gold.

(And yes, I understand that many people would have trouble with the notion that a guy who likes women tied up during sex would cavil at the spitting and the slapping, but hey, I'm not pretending that my sexual fantasies come from a rational part of my brain ... and neither should you.)

Deen seems to be the "guy next door" heart-throb that has been missing in porn. I haven't really noticed him, as my attention when I watch porn is on the women. I'm OK with men being in porn, SOMEBODY'S gotta tie those women up and make them scream in ecstasy right through their ball gags. I'd do it myself but I have other responsibilities, like writing this blog and being married.

I think it's overall a good thing that a male heart-throb has surfaced in porn, primarily because he does BDSM stuff as a dom. As I pointed out in "Hottitude of Servitude" in the Slave Leia section, the fact that Slavegirl Leia is the template for what people imagine is a slave girl means that the template for what most people think of as a dom is Jabba the Hutt. Having handsome young James Deen as the template for a dom is a huge improvement. Hell, he's almost as handsome as me!
