Enjoy my story "The Night That Christmas Got Real" now free on Amazon through Dec 25. And Merry Christmas!

Hot freebie, coming up! Here's the Amazon USA link! And if you're outside the USA, here's a link to all the Amazon stores in the world!

Da blurb:

Simiyuki Simmons was an Asian-American who was a long way away from her country of origin, culturally and personally. She thought of herself as an all-American California girl. But she also longed to be the right guy's hentai heroine, doing all sorts of kinky, sexy things while totally under his control. Unfortunately, there were an awful lot of wrong guys out there. She had never met one that even came close to being the right one.

Joe Culpepper was a gamer, leading a lonely and impoverished life as an auto parts picker. He was a large, powerfully built man, but was still very shy around women. What if he spoke the truth of his heart to them, that he wanted to dominate them in bed and make them do all sorts of deliciously sexy things? They might think he was pervert. And he wasn't a pervert. He was just kinky.

Christmas magic will have its way with these two, and help them learn that love and trust are the true sources of Christmas joy, in a way that will warm more than their hearts.

This story is 13,500 words long.

"The Visitor From Incel World" Now Available on Amazon

I've written a new Collar World under the pseudonym Barry Anderson. I also am not calling it a Collar World novel because they're erotica, and it's just sexy science fiction, not erotica. I'll explain all in great detail in a subsequent post. Meanwhile, here's what it's all about:

Ariana Heppelwhite was a promising Gender Studies grad student at Lacy Swanson College for Women in Bayport, Massachusetts. She had actually written a paper describing three hitherto unknown forms of nanoaggression! She was on track for getting a professorship and a actual job with a real salary and all the perks, maybe even tenure eventually.

Ariana had even met an unexpectedly charming incel (a phrase she had never expected to think, much less say) while doing research on incels for a grant she had. Sure, she'd done some nasty academic infighting that had an athletic department coach looking for her scalp over a transmale gaze incident, but overall, things were coming up roses for Ariana.

Then it happened. Ariana got caught in a freak physics accident while running from the gym coach, and was transported to an alternate world. And it was the exact WRONG world for a Gender Studies feminist to be transported to. It was full of women who walked around naked in public and wore collars engraved with “Property of (their significant other)” and who LOVED their collars -- and who seemed to think Ariana was a barbarian from a violent place.

And the thing was, they were all nice people, and calm people, and they just might be right about Ariana. Even more of a thing was that some not-so-nice Collar Land people thought Ariana's world represented such a threat that they should kill her for security reasons.

Will Ariana ever make it back to good old Earth from Collar Land? Will she learn to adjust to these very strange people or will she subvert their entire society? Will the not-nice people kill her? And what about that unexpectedly charming incel?

All these questions and more will be answered -- all you have to do is read this topnotch science fiction comedy!

Creating the Cover Art for "Tiny, Big" -- Yes, you, too, can create bad cover art!

Beginning and end stage images I used to build a book cover, that I'll be referring to in this post.

Laura the Tiny Elf before and after

Gina the Big Elf before and after

I'm not an artist and I know it. But I have developed a set of tricks to let me create stuff that kinda looks like art and fulfills Amazon's rules for cover art, and I thought I'd share it with you because it's fun, at least, to me.

(Note: I use GIMP for my covers. It's an open-source program for creating and editing digital images, basically, the equivalent of Photoshop, only free. Like Photoshop, it has a fairly steep learning curve. I can't honestly say how steep, because I've used it for years and I've stepped in all the cow pies. I do remember spending a lot of time grinding my teeth and wondering what the hell I'd done wrong this time when I was first starting out. However, it is possible (as in “almost certain”) that you are better than me at learning new software and will not grind your teeth down to nubbins, which do not work so well for chewing.

As a marketer of my erotica, I want my cover art to be as raunchy and naked as possible. Amazon, unfortunately, has Standards, and they include No Nudity. Also, strictly for erotica covers, No Butt Crack, No Underboob, No Sideboob, No Happy Trails, And of course, No Nipples and No Genitals. The rules are move relaxed in other categories, probably out of a recognition that if nudity were allowed in erotica, you'd get wall-to-wall nudity on the book covers, whereas with other genres you only occasionally get something like this:

 (A recent cover on r/badscificovers.)

But back to our cover art. Only one of these images was “created” by me, that would be Laura the Tiny. Gina the Big's art I found on Pixabay. I was hoping to find a photo that would work, but came across the Gina image that very nicely matched my idea of what a nine foot tall woman who was very fit might look like. And her costume was very naked, but not entirely naked. Perfect, really, for me.

There were just three things I had to work with to make her work entirely for me. One: that face. It's just wrong. Especially the eyes. Not sure what went wrong, but her eyes are a mess and her jawline is too firm. Her lower face looks like it's just a hairline away from growing a beard. (That's when I realized what the artist's problem was. It wasn't a bad drawing. Red hair, staring eyes, incipient beard: she's French!)

I decided not to do any work there, it would just take too long to fix her face to something more Geena Davis-ish. (Geena Davis is the actress I based the character of Gina on, in terms of voice and mannerisms, plus she's got an athletic build and is tall). Sometimes “Let it be” is your best shot, and the rest of the body is so nice and Big.

Two other problems. I'm sure you spotted one of them: underboob. It was an easy fix. I created a new layer first, because you can adjust transparency on a new layer if you need to, a handy trick as you will soon see. I just borrowed the color from her bra and followed the existing contours of her breast to get the shape. I had initially thought I would have to digitally erase the metal border on the underside of the bra (talk about an underwire!) but when I covered up the border with the red bra color and dialed the transparency on the layer just a little, the the border showed through but was properly colored, looking very much like a seam in the fabric of the bra. Perfect!

If I were a REAL artist I might have created a new metallic border on the underside of the bra, but I'm pretty sure most viewers wouldn't notice and I KNEW that I didn't care. So, no metallic border.

There was one more bit that was needed to comply with Amazon nudity standards, but harder to spot. Amazon wants NO vaginal area on display, and if you'll look carefully at Gina's crotch, there's a bit of flesh between her inner thigh and the edge of the sex cachet she wears. It's not really vaginal area, but I'm not getting my book blocked over some detail on the cover like that. So I went in and added some red to cover that tiny bit of flesh. I doubt anyone would know, because it looks like part of the weird outfit.

All that was left was the background and the hair. I knocked it out using some alpha layer tomfoolery, which meant I didn't have to go in there and cut it out by hand. Only problem was, those wisps of hair that fringe her head didn't knock out perfectly, being wisps. That's OK, I went in there with the digital shears and trimmed them off, making it appear that her hair was styled. Voila! I had my Gina art. Well, French Gina art.

Laura was much tougher, but also more fun. She's based on a Second Life avatar, which meant I went into Second Life, pulled up an avatar, and took photos of her against a black screen to create my art. I also decked her out in a collar and cuffs, but decided to photograph her naked rather than look around for a skimpy bra and panties to put on her. Though I did buy a pair of cheap elf ears for her. Cost me $50 Lindens, which works out to roughly twenty US cents. I'm always willing to spend where it counts!

There are TONS of clothing options for avatars on Second Life, because residents make everything that exists in the game, including the very shape of the land and water itself. Godlike powers, indeed! Most central to the game's economic success is that you can create your own avatar skins, bodies, hair and most of all, clothes, clothes, clothes, clothes, clothes.

Yes, you can be a virtual clothing designer, makeup designer, hair stylist, etc., on Second Life and make money at it, in some cases, serious bank, since Lindens are tradable for US dollars as I pointed out earlier.

… wait … where's everybody gone? Aw, come on, buy my boooooook … Geeze.

Anyway, I could have bought a nice thong and bikini set, but it takes forever to find a skimpy one that really works. They come in two varieties, one that comes as painted-on art and for some reason has terrible jaggies, and one that is beautiful but takes a lot of effort to get it fitting right.

I wanted to get, insofar as possible, a naked look for Laura, and I have finally figured out how to draw lingerie on avatars and make it look right, and make it look naked. I started by taking about 50 photos of Laura naked but for collar, cuffs and shackles, looking for the right pose and the right angle of that pose. Another thing they make in Second Life is animations, and since slavegirls are popular roles in Second Life (because a lot of women enjoy submissive fantasies) there are also a lot of kneeling poses. I wanted one that showed Laura's adoration of Gina, and when I got what I wanted, I did the alpha channel process and got a nice clean cutout, as seen on the left. Notice that in this one, even the wisps of hair came out clean.

The first thing I had to fix was Laura's right breast. It was lumpy and smaller than I wanted. The breasts are built from polyhedrons, and when you enlarge the breasts, the polyhedrons enlarge and become more visible, and I had Laura's breasts pumped up as it was. (There are tools called “sliders” that let you enlarge, shrink and otherwise change body parts at a whim, if you are using the basic Second Life body.)

I wanted Laura to be curvy because she was so small, and if I made her at all slender, she'd look … childlike. And in the erotica genre, that is a third rail: touch it and die. I wanted Laura to be very womanly-looking for that reason, and so I used a circle tool that created a breast-shaped circle to make Laura curvier, and filled it with the appropriate flesh tones just by copying the existing flesh tones over. (Her hips were already nice and round, and it was more subtle work, so I left them as is.)

Before I could go covering up her breasts with clothing, I used the clone tool to place generic flesh tones over the nipples, then used the smear tool to even out the tones so that at the end, her breasts were nipple-free. Yay. I did the same with the bit of genitals and pubic hair that were visible. Very easy work.

Then I created a new layer and used a combination of circle tools and following the existing lines of her body, to create the outline of her top and her panties. I didn't bother making it super-realistic, I just wanted it to look good and emphasize Laura's curviness. That's where the circles came in handy. They make the artwork look polished and smooth, but it's just using the circle tool and making it grow a border, then filling in the border for the appropriate part of the circle in your design. Between the circle tracing and following existing contours, I did very little free-handing, but I'm very pleased about the undies I drew, as they accentuate Laura's curviness further.

Once I had the outlines drawn, I filled them in, with the bra and undies on their own separate layers. I used flat white and it didn't look at all realistic, until I started adjusting the transparency on the layers. Once the overlays were sufficiently transparent, the modeling on the body underneath came through, basically shading the undies for me, and doing it exactly right, without any effort on my part other than adjusting a slider.

When I was through, I had a very nicely modeled, non-naked Laura. After that it was just a bit of touch-up. By far the trickiest part was the eyes, which in the original are looking downward, whereas I wanted Laura looking upward, at Gina. Also, there's a definite goofy look there if you zoom in close. I just copied the corneas, painted over where they'd been with white eyeball color, and flipped them upside down, positioned them as I wanted so that Laura looked up, then drew in some irises to get rid of that dead “doll-eye” look, and added a couple of reflections, just white dots in the irises. I also rounded out Laura's right shoulder, as it was looking a bit lumpy.

I made the leash the same color as the center of Gina's fist, and made it a simple line running from her hand to the ring on the front of Laura's collar. I kept it as simple as possible, as it wasn't supposed to be a major feature of the artwork, just something to visually symbolize the relationship between Gina and Laura. I used the circle and line tools to make the way the leash hung look natural, once again.

I had found a nice bit of vaguely spooky and magical looking background art and a stone walkway in Second Life, which has sandboxes for that sort of thing, and I pasted Laura and Gina into it. I painted a bit of shadow underneath Laura to anchor her to the background, and that was it. The muted gray color made Gina and Laura really pop from the background, which is what I wanted, two sexy mostly naked women. Hopefully, the cover will help sell the book.

All in all we are talking a good ten, fifteen hours of work for me, if I'd been able to just sit and do it. I spent two and half days at it, two of them weekend days. A real artist could probably have put something better looking together in about an hour. Maybe two at the outside. Hire a pro if you can afford one, but the good ones don't come cheap, and the bad ones, well, some of them make me look good by comparison, and a lot of the bad ones have been known to use copyrighted images for their content. That's a legal spanking!

(Note: “Tiny, Big” is already selling well, and I've just gotten started promoting it. I'm thinking the cover worked.)

"Tiny, Big" An Erotic Fantasy Novella, Is Available on Amazon

(All the links in this post are NSFW to one degree or another. Don't say you weren't warned.)

International Bookstore link to “Tiny, Big”

I'm very proud of the opening line to my new novella “Tiny, Big.” It is “Why would I want my arms and legs cut off? That seems a bit extreme even for me.”

If that doesn't make you want to turn the page, nothing will.

Never fear gentle reader no legs and arms were harmed and the creation of the story. As is often the case with all great works of literature this story was inspired by a porn photo. You can see the photo by following this link. The actresses involved are 5 foot tall Penny Pax and 5 foot 11 inch Dylan Ryan. The image is clearly created to appeal to fans of lesbian macrophilia and microphilia, along with fans of lesbian bondage, lesbian sex, and general perversion.

(Sound of a record scratch)

Wait … what? “What are macrophilia and microphilia?” you almost certainly may ask.

Macrophilia is being sexually attracted to someone who is very tall. Microphilia is being sexually attracted to someone who is very short. Interestingly, there does not appear to be any term for finding images of very large and very short women having sex appealing.

But there is a subreddit for it named http://www.reddit.com/r/samespecies. Wouldn't you know it, a subreddit would exists for a perversion long before it even had a name? r/samespecies is full of images of very short and very tall women standing next to one another, generally just smiling at a camera, sometimes nude, more often clothed, though there ARE occasionally pics of naked women of different size having sex.

I've found that the Your Fantasies Unlimited format works very well with porn images to create short porn stories and novellas. And I'd like to claim that the Dylan Ryan/Penny Pax image alone was responsible for the plot of “Tiny, Big.” And it is a very evocative image, especially expressions on Penny and Dylan's faces – they really know how to act bondage.

But I have to admit, I had another source of inspiration, the work of the Swedish artist known only on Grigbertz. Here's his website with lots of drawings.  Grigbertz's stories almost always have a theme of short women, often elfin and ALWAYS naked and in bondage, generally with a mythical medieval background. Here's a very nice example of Grigbertz's artwork that fits what I've described.

In one of Grigbertz's storylines, women who don't reach a certain height by age 18 (or whatever the age of consent in Sweden is) are enslaved. The women are standard Grigbertz tinies, and they are enslaved by taller men and women, who molest them, much to everyone's great pleasure, including the tinies.

Well say no more. I didn't exactly copy Grigbertz's mythology, because what fun would that be? And in Grigbertz's case, it would be hard because his text is fragmentary and not well developed, based on what I've seen. Being a writer, I tend more toward text, for whatever reason. And I work out my ideas in greater detail. But Grigbertz's skill in communicating his fantasies with a few pencil lines is not to be ignored.

You can read my precis of my story on my Amazon page, but I have to filter it very heavily for Amazon's sake, plus I have to keep it brief. Here's the full story:

In the magical land of Corliandra, human beings are divided into three different body types: Tinies, three to four feet tall, averaging 3'6”, Normies who run five to 6 and a half feet tall, in short, human beings as we know them on Earth, for the most part, and Bigs, who grow to eight to nine feet tall, averaging eight and a half feet tall. Tinies, Normies and Bigs are not distinct species at all, they can interbreed. Tiny mothers can have Big children, Big mothers can have Tiny children, and the same with Normies. It's just a matter of which genes are dominant, with about one in five humans being Tinies, one in five being Bigs, and three in five being Normies.

All three groups get along together fine, because of the interbreeding. Most families are a mix of Tinies, Normie's and Bigs to one extent or another, especially large families.

This, the protagonist Laura is a Tiny, has a Normie brother, a Tiny mother and a Big father. And the protagonist Gina is a Big, with a Normie brother (just a coincidence) and a Big father and a Tiny mother. Both families are happy and healthy and love one another (though Normie brothers can be annoying, whether you are a Big or a Little).

The fact that both Laura and Gina have Tiny mothers and Big fathers is not coincidence: by tradition from time immemorial, Bigs sexually enslave Tinies when they turn 18. It's not an ironclad thing: sometimes Tinies enslave Bigs and sometimes Normies enslave Bigs, etc. etc. But mostly Bigs enslave Tinies, because that's how most Corliandrans are wired. Literally, they are magically/instinctively compelled to do these things, and to love one another afterward. (God, fantasy makes character-building easy. Why do they do it? Magic!)

The excitement of the action in Corliandra depends on Laura and Gina's relationship, what kind of fun sexual things they get up to and how they respond to them. But there's also the Your Fantasies Unlimited action in the real world. It turns out that things that happen in the fantasy world of Corliandra have some effect in the real world, and gives me some fun playing off my real-world characters against their fantasy world counterparts.

I guess what I'm saying is, get this book, or rent it using Kindle Unlimited (for free, in essence). It's one of my best works ever.

In future posts, I want to talk about how the cover was built, and I also want to talk about how I cast the characters to give them their voice and look. In the meantime, here's da blurb:

Laura was by all accounts the feistiest and talkiest Tiny in her village in the magical land of Corliandra. (But she wasn't the tallest, she was just an average Tiny at 3'6” tall.) And Laura was SURE she would never turn into a simpering love slave like most of the other Tinies did when they turned 18. She would never fall for some beautiful nine foot tall Big, because being a Big's love slave was so wrong, even if everyone else, including her Tiny mother and Big father, assured her that it was so very, very right.

But Tinies, Normies and Bigs all wanted Laura as their love slave, because she had a curvaceous body that along with her passionate personality, set lust lights glimmering in their eyes.

Gina was a Big at 8'6” tall, and she was the most accomplished huntress and archer in the village, and also quite beautiful. She loved to listen to Laura talk (Laura was a great and frequent public speaker). She dreamed of the day she would collar Laura and listen to her talk for hours, generally after Laura had used her tongue in other ways. And unknown to Gina, Laura had eyes for her, perhaps because of the grace with which Gina moved, or her knowing half smile that hinted at a tantalizing world inside Gina's shy exterior.

When Gina makes her move on Laura after she turns 18, Laura discovers the magic of love. Finally, Laura know the joys of being a Tiny love slave, and Gina knows the joys of having a Tiny love slave. And these discoveries may Somehow lead Laura and Gina into a whole new world of erotic possibility, of lesbian bondage, public nudity, erotic dance and bondage orgies, which may Change Everything – even in the real world outside Corliandra!

This novelette is just over 21,000 words long, and is Book Two in the “Your Fantasies Unlimited” series.

WARNING: This books is infested with humor, has a pleasant and fun approach to sex and sexuality, and contains graphic sexual content of the sort that those who enjoy graphic sexual content will enjoy. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!

A New Short Story From Pat Powers: "So This Is My Life Now ..." Femdom/femsub a go-go and do you know real real from virtual real? Because I have NO idea what I'm doing here ...

I have started outlining my novels, though the outline tends to get fairly worked over by my subconscious as I write. But when I write novellas and short stories, I'm still a seat-of-the-pants writer, which means that often, I have no idea WHAT the fuck I'm doing. I just sit down with an idea, start banging things out, and see what happens.

The amazing thing is, I think my subconscious is a better writer than my conscious mind is, and it has PLANS. Plans I have no idea of!

Take my latest story, “So This Is My Life Now ...” It was inspired by porn. Really. It was inspired by this particular porn video. The idea was to use a striking bondage image to create a story. And I looked at it, and my mind did as it sometimes does when it sees a striking bondage image, and it created a backstory for this video (which is, in full, about a cop who gets the tables turned on her and becomes a lesbian mistress' slavegirl).

The Mistress' outfit looks kinda like a uniform, so I immediately had an idea: the Mistress is a rebel warrior and the submissive is the cop who got the tables turned, just like the video. I had a vision of the Mistress fucking the slavegirl on the table as in the video, smirking merrily, with people walking by, making the submissive feel so humiliated, with her huge tits squished against the table and her round ass hanging over the edge, tied down and gagged … oh, it was nice.

So then I start writing, and I start writing about a skinny corporate executive buying an implant that gives you dreams that are experienced like real life, from a snarky, class-conscious, non-sentient salesbot.

What the fuck? Where the hell did that come from? I have no idea. But I keep writing because I kinda wanna know. And because, while on a few occasions when something like this happens, it's gone nowhere, most of the time I come up with a better story than I anticipated.

And damned if this wasn't what happened here, because this story turned out to ask the question, “What if your fantasies were better than real life in every respect?” It dealt with the nature of dreams and reality, how they are experienced and how they affect you. The story got into the erotica very fast, in fact, almost all of this story is erotica, with tons of lesbian domination and submission and public sex, nudity, bondage and humiliation – all the good stuff. Stuff that's better than real life ...

Check out the blurb below:

June Jetson was just an ordinary executive, single and married to her job in a time when jobs were becoming increasingly scarce. Head of a corporate human relations department, she discovers that many of her company's lower tier employees are unaccountably happy. They shouldn't be happy: her corporation, like most, is cutting wages and extending hours for the ever-shrinking pool of employees it hasn't yet fired.

So what makes these wretches so happy? A bit of research leads June to discover that her happier employees are all customers of companies like Your Fantasies Unlimited. June decides to conduct some personal research, and life gets very strange when she discovers Mistress Suzy, a Lesbian Janissary of the Thongan Resistance, a dominant warrior woman who knows exactly how to make submissive June bend to her every whim.

What will happen to June? Can she cling to her rung on the ever more precarious corporate ladder when she discovers an erotic fantasy world that is so much better, so much more fulfilling, more thrilling, and just as real, as her “real life?”

“So This Is My Life Now” is mostly erotica. But it's also science fiction. And it's social commentary. All bundled into one juicy story that will grab you by the genitals and fling you in to the future!

“So This Is My Life Now” is also just over  10,000 words long and part of the Basic universe. Enjoy!

That pic that got the whole thing started.

TedX Hates Porn

So, TedX hates porn. It has to be said. Do a Google search on TedX and porn and you will be inundated with videos about porn and how horrible it is, most of them with a little disclaimer that say "This video contains assertions that are not supported by academically respected studies."

That means the video is bullshit, basically. I've watched several of them, they are almost invariably bullshit. They generally use porn to excite the audience, but by coupling it with a "safe" message that porn is bad, very bad, very very bad and boy isn't there a lot of it?

There are a couple of TedX videos about porn that aren't out and out attacks on porn, but they tend to be corrective in nature, things like "It's time for porn to change."

What this tells me is that there's money in attacking porn. I'm not surprised.  Our culture is really, profoundly weird about sex. It creates porn, and antiporn, and everything in between, as well as bizarre phenomena like the Epstein case, with multi-millionaires and powerful politicos sharing out harems of underaged women like sex toys.

But really, people are paying lots of money to watch these stupid videos. As our president would say, "Sad."

Eat your fucking heart out, TedX

Let's NOT Appreciate David Attenborough

I recently ran across a thread on Reddit that asked this question: “Can we all appreciate David Attenborough for making great documentaries for over than half a century while he is still with us?”

I'm a fan of David Attenborough. I've enjoyed his documentaries, and his narration style in particular. The tone of hushed excitement he can generate over the mating dance of some bird in southeast Asia is sheer artistry.

But the question pissed me off, because it's based on a lie. It implies that Attenborough has seen little or no recognition in his life. This is bullshit. His life is just chock full of adulation and appreciation. He's famous and wealthy and successful. He doesn't fucking NEED another drop of appreciation.

Meanwhile, all over the world are artists, writers, musicians, scientists and engineers who are doing original, groundbreaking and creative work who, outside a small coterie of fans, NOBODY HAD EVER HEARD OF. They've had BUPKIS of appreciation.

What people like the OP who created the David Attenborough thread (who apparently have appreciation to spare) should really do is find one of those unknown creators and ask for appreciation on their behalf. They need our recognition. Attenborough needs zip from us.

(And yes, I'm one of those writers who is totally unknown outside his tiny little niche of kinky humorous science fiction erotica writers, a niche so small it should actually be called a “dimple on a golf ball.” But I have hope, and faith. Someday I'll have far more recognition than I deserve, and people will actually want to give me more extra appreciation, even if it means depriving other writers and artists who are a lot less well known any appreciation at all. But if this never happens, despite my disappointment I shall remains strong, because what I really want is lots of money.)

Even in porn, there are actresses whose faces aren't seen ...

Feminism's Big Tent

So in my post on the seemingly contradictory relationship between bondage and feminism,  I said that feminism has been good for bondage, helping create the necessary freedom of choice that makes bondage a fun game for everybody.

"But," some of you may be thinking, "I hate feminism and feminists. They are always going down on men and calling porn a bad thing and trying to make us feel bad for being sexually attracted to women, or this or that sort of woman. WTF?"

It's a fair question, and the apparent difference between me and those who think like that feminism is bad is a product of a different vision of feminism I think.

Feminism is a big tent. There are hundreds of millions, perhaps billions, of women who identify as feminists. Many women identify as feminists for very shallow reasons, just as many people identify as Republicans or Democrats for very shallow reasons. A lot of moms buy their daughters Wonder Woman underoos and cheer on equal pay for equal work and are against rape and more access for day care for working mothers, and that's about the extent of their feminism. This is probably (I don't really know, but it seems a reasonable guess) the majority of self-described feminists.

Somehow, I don't think these are the women whom you were thinking of, when you thought, "I hate feminism and feminists."

The ones you were thinking of, I suspect, were the more extreme feminists, perhaps academics who say things like "All men are rapists" and calling just about everything that happens between a man and a woman rape, hating on trans people and calling for outlawing porn. Those feminists.

What you need to know is that those feminists constitute a TINY portion of women who think of themselves as feminists, and that they fucking LOVE it when you conflate the two. They love it when people think they speak for all women who consider themselves feminists, even though the Wonder Woman mom feminists might not agree with most of what the extremist feminists have to say.

They love it of course because if the extremist feminists positions are uncritically accepted as the position of feminists as a whole then that amplifies the extreme feminists' voices enormously. They speak for multitudes!

They also love it because when you say, "I hate feminism and feminists" you are punching yourself in the face. You are picking a fight with every woman that thinks of herself as feminist, which means you will almost certainly lose. And you're doing it by opposing people who might find your ideas agreeable, and who might dislike the extreme feminists as much as you do. Congratulations, you're doing just what the extreme feminists want you to do.

Remember, feminism is a big tent. Don't fight the whole tent if you don't have to. I would say, oppose the feminist policy, not feminism. For example, I'm down with equal pay for equal work, opposing rape and sexual harassment, better and more child care for working women, and equal opportunities for women generally (i.e., opposed to the glass ceiling).

But I'm also opposed to assuming a man is a rapist because he is a man. I think some women can and will make false rape allegations against men, and that this needs to be taken into account when a woman accuses a man of rape or sexual harassment. But I also think that many claims of rape and sexual harassment do have something real to them, and should be investigated thoroughly. Some guys have gotten away with too much shit in real life for too long. Jeffrey Epstein is not alone.

These are nuanced positions, not easily encapsulated by "I hate feminism" or "I am a feminist." But they're mostly me trying to go with evidence and scientific proof, and trying to be fair.

But overall, I'm very comfortable saying that I am a feminist, and generally sympathetic to feminism, even though I know that SOME women who describe themselves as feminists and have leadership positions within the feminist movements would despise me just for having a sexual kink for maledom/femsub. It's a big tent, I feel comfy here.

As for those extreme feminists, I will go with trying to minimize them and discredit their ideas, where appropriate. I'm far from the only self-described feminist who doesn't care for them.

Feminism Made Sexual Bondage As We Know It Possible

Kind of an interesting coincidence, the way sexual bondage took off in American culture in the 50s and 60s via Betty Page and Movie Star News, after long being a part of culture generally, but not widely recognized. Then it really got established in the 80s

Kinda like feminism, which took off in the sixties after long being part of American culture, then became established in the 80s. The timing isn't exact, but it's close.

But I don't think it's a coincidence.

Here's the thing. One of the key points in feminism is that “No means no.” I'm down with that. Women have the right to refuse sexual roles, experiences, whatever, that don't work for them.

But the obverse is also true. “Yes” means “Yes.” Women have a right to their choices, and the ability to say “No” and have it mean something also implies the ability to say “Yes” and have it mean something.

And for sexual bondage to be possible, women have to be able to say “no” and “yes” and it has to mean something (or whatever the safeword happens to be). The personal and cultural freedom that feminism has created for women is what allows them to participate in sexual bondage.

This is why feminism is essential to sexual bondage play. I'm sure there have been exceptional women throughout history, who could do the sexual bondage play and understand it as play even in a society where women are second class citizens with great limitations on their choices, but that's what they were – exceptions.

There is a tendency on the part of people who don't understand sexual roleplay that if it's maledom/femsub play, that the participants must not be aligned with feminism. They're acting out their social/political agenda in the bedroom. There probably are people out there doing that somewhere. I just don't know if you can call it “sexual roleplay” under those circumstances, because it doesn't sound much like play.

So bondage fans owe a lot to feminism. The feminists may not have been intentionally working to ensure that women have the freedom to participate in bondage play and have it be actgual play, but that's what they did. And good for them!

 “Thanks, feminism!”

Re-Evaluating Old Skinamax Film Reviews In the Modern Age

A few years ago I wrote a reviews of two Skinamax movies, Passion Network and Vicious Circles. I was interested in the movies because they used a plot device that's common in Internet bondage fantasies: a shadowy network of wealthy, kinky types get beautiful young women into their network and try to make them into bondage slaves, either unwillingly or reluctantly.

But “Passion Network” and "Vicious Circles” are a step up on most Internet bondage stories, because the sexual performers in both films do it for money rather than out of fear of being killed or maimed, or because they're being  physically imprisoned and have no choice.

This makes so much sense! Why would a wealthy person risk going to prison for years by kidnapping or physically harming women when he could get plenty of women to be in his harem by offering them what amounted to chump change for him? True, prostitution is illegal, but not on the level that kidnapping and harming women is illegal. And it's very rare that the purchases of sex services gets prosecuted at all. It's almost always the prostitute or her pimp, if anyone.

So these Skinamax films got it right. Of course wealthy men who craved kinky sex would just pay women to play the role of kinky sex slaves. Everybody wins, right?

I praised those movies because they're set against a backdrop of so many kinky stories where rich men use all kinds of power games and illegal violence and threats of violence to make women do their bidding.

I think some of you may see where this is going. Because … I was wrong. So wrong. And you know who proved me wrong? Jeffrey Epstein, Donald Trump, Bill Clinton, Alan Dershowitz and Prince Andrew, and quite a few others if the prosecutors have the balls to go after all of Epstein's clients, and not just Epstein (not holding my breath).

These are rich, powerful men who had sex with Epstein's harem of underaged women. I have read accounts that Epstein and his cronies used force and intimidation against some of the young girls they victimized, threatening them and their family member with death. Some of the girls they may have just paid off, I don't know. What I do know is that Epstein and his buddies victimized underage girls – even getting them to have sex by offering them lots of money is illegal, because they were not old enough to knowingly give consent.

Epstein and friends COULD have hired adult women who are small and/or look young to pretend they were very young and inexperienced, just like most producers of the pornographic “Barely 18” videos do. But Epstein and friends didn't, they wanted the REAL THING. And they got it.

Just like those wealthy men in all those Internet fantasies did. They didn't want pretendy slavegirls, they wanted the real thing, and they were willing to risk jail to get it.

I think I got this wrong because I didn't understand just how little fear the wealthy in our society have of being jailed for ANY reason. The Internet bondage fantasies were what was closest to the truth, not “Passion Network” and “Vicious Circles.” Jeffrey Epstein and Company proved that.

And the saddest part is, I wouldn't be surprised if the bad guys totally get away with it … just like the Internet fantasy bad guys.

I have to say, I liked the world a lot better when I thought the Internet fantasies were just horny, harebrained fantasies instead of prosaic reality.

A bondage porn model pretending to be tied up and having sex. Ah, the good ole days.

Collar Climax

Subspace is an interesting phenomenon. I don't think there's anything like it in vanilla relationships. I've read descriptions of it, and listened to them on Youtube as well, and the nearest analog that occurs to me is that they are like the high you can get from meditating, entering a psychological space that is very unlike normal consciousness, overwhelming, and conveys great calm and relaxation, despite the sort of things that are often done to subs in subspace.

Being a science fiction writer and all, I thought, “What if I turned this baby up to 11 and added other stuff besides?” And thus, the concept of Collar Climax was born. The idea is that when a woman in Collar World is collared and has absolutely mind-blowing sex, she sooner or later will enter Collar Climax while she is having said mind-blowing sex. Collar Climax is a variant of subspace in which the sub experiences a great sense of joy and peace and stillness in their mind, as well as a sense of total acceptance. They have accepted their collar, their owner, and their place in the world, and found great joy in all three. The experience does not go away ... ever, necessarily. That joy and stillness remains within them and makes them calmer, saner people.

Most women on Collar World experience a Collar Climax, which has had the effect of raising the collective IQ of Collar World, because although Collar Climax does not directly affect intelligence, by making the women who experience it saner, hence giving them greater access to whatever intelligence they have, it amplifies the effect of intelligence, which may be more useful for them and the society they live in than a simple intelligence boost. Let's face it, in our world there are an awful lot of very intelligent people who are so crippled by depression and other mental illnesses that they can't really use their intelligence.

Collar Climax subs are more effective human beings, and in the early days when they were slaves in fact, it made them greatly sought after as advisors, and gave Collar World a leg up technologically and most especially socially. Society became more egalitarian, warfare ended, and other good things happened over time.

Of course, Collar Climax is a totally made up thing, except of course that mental health really is a good thing and more of it would undoubtedly make for a better world, made up or otherwise. Especially among the leadership, who so often seem to be psychopaths here on Incel World.

She's a very stable genius, if only because she can't move at all!

The Temple of the Collar

Actual image of the Temple of the Collar on Second Life

People who have done kinky RP on Second Life will recognize the term “Temple of the Collar.” Second Life is a virtual reality game, virtually all of whose objects and programming and  A group of Second Life builders got together and created collars and other bondage toys that share common Open Source scripts that allows people to cheaply and easily share their skills and toys for kinky RP, chief among which would be collars. Designers created all kinds of designs for collars, scripters created all kinds of scripts for collars and as a result they were able to offer them cheaply, and in some cases for free, to Second Life Rpers, making kinky RP a lot more user-friendly if you know what I mean, wink-wink nudge-nudge.

I didn't need the objects and scripts for Collar World, but I did borrow the name and the sense of generosity and inclusion for the Temple of the Collar. On Collar World, the Temple of the Collar serves as a social safety valve for those whose collars do not rest comfortably on their necks.

Some people will be misfits and will have a hard time in a relationship and feel the need to run away or “break a collar” which is the term for ending a personal collar relationship. At the Temple of the Collar, slaves without collars can get food, a place to sleep, safety and counseling, even a new collar of they want one. The Temple of the Collar collar allows a slave to recover until they want a new collar. Some slaves even take on a Temple collar permanently, finding it very comfortable.

The Temple shows up prominently in two of my stories, Collar Dread about a slavegirl who is fearful of the psychological changes created by collaring, and “The Visitor From Incel World” about a woman from Earth transported to Collar World by a physics experiment gone awry (which is still in editing).

Oh, did I mention the psychological aspects of collaring? Well, I did go into a lot of science fiction thinking there, too. Yet another blog post coming on that one.

Collaring on Collar World: How Censorship Imposes Itself on Art

I mentioned in an earlier post that I had to make some rules up for Collar World specifically so my stories could be marketable, not because they were logical extensions of my thoughts on a society that

The biggest whopper I had to tell about Collar World is that teens had to wait until they were 18 years old before they could get collared or collar someone else, and that they eschewed any dating or sexual activity prior to that.

I had to do that because Amazon and most other retailers are not about to sell or distribute (hi, Smashwords!) any erotica that has underage content. It's legally terra incognito for any erotica writer. I don't honestly believe teen characters as a group would hold back from sexual expression of any kind prior to reaching 18, but here we are. Being able to describe the romantic foibles and fumblings of kinky kids sounds like great fun, but not if you're going to get all erotic about it.

To make up for it, once my characters hit 18 and can start collaring one another, they go from 0 to 60, sex-wise. Once a girl reaches that age, she can be collared by any boy (or girl, if both are so inclined) and they both go nuts with the kinky sex. And instead of asking her out on a date, he gets to kidnap her, sneaking up on her, tying her up and taking her home after stopping off at a police kiosk to register it as a collaring rather than a kidnapping.

And that's also how I get around another requirement imposed by the market, the requirement for consensuality, since at the police kiosk the girl has to agree to the collaring for it to proceed. You can't do nonconsensual at all on Amazon, and a lot of other distributors are not gonna touch it, either.

So many legal and marketing choices are disguised as artistic choices. I think it would be a lot more exciting and suspenseful in a story to have the collaring be something more along the lines of a kidnapping, kind of like the old non-erotic romances, where a pirate would kidnap a comely lady, have sex with her without her consent, and then fall in love with her, generally with her consent since she also falls in love with him.

Well in this modern era that won't fly if you include graphic sex scenes, and no amount of falling in love afterward will make up for it!

So off to the police kiosk it is, where a cop records it as a collaring and sometimes a crowd of neighbors watch and “ooh!” and “aah!” at the young lovers. Sometimes even the girl's parents. (“My little girl is growing up -- her first collaring! Sob!”)

All kinds of sly fun to be had there, and I take full advantage of it in my first Collar World story, Stolen Collar, Stolen Heart which is about a girl's first collaring and was the impetus for much of my thought on the topic.

I also have girls subject to this temporary kidnap/collaring up to half a dozen times because they're temporary collars, kind of a dating thing but a LOT more intense since the slavegirl moves in with the guy and wears his collar. (I'm using maledom/femsub nomenclature here, but the same applies for whatever gender pairings comes up.)

After half a dozen tries, generally the girl gets a Temple Collar or an asexual collar, whatever works for her, really, and she has all the time she needs to figure out what she likes. But quite frequently, the first collaring or one soon afterward leads to Collar Climax and the collar becomes permanent. Collar Climax? Well, that's a science fiction psychological aspect of collaring on Collar World that I will be described in another post.

First experience of sex on Collar World: 0 to 60 indeed!

The Joy of Collars and Collaring 1: A Collar For Everyone Who Wants One

"That enough collar for ya, girl?"

Collaring has a great deal of psychological meaning for many kinky folks. For some it is an analogue for a wedding band for kinksters, symbolizing the collarer's ownership of the collar wearer. And for others, it's just another bit of bondage gear. There are no civic structures for kinky relationships like there are for vanilla relationships (i.e., marriage) so these things vary.

This turned out to be important and useful when I decided to create an alternate world where everyone is into dominance and submission. I figured most would be into maledom/femsub stuff, like here on Earth, but there would also be femdom/malesub relationships, as well as gay relationships, asexuals and so forth. There just wouldn't be any, or very rarely, vanilla sexual relationships. It's not that there is any bigotry against vanilla sex, it's just that most people on Collar World wouldn't find it nearly as fun and sexy as kinky sex.

Plus, I didn't want bigotry to be a major theme in the world. “Bigotry is bad”is a good lesson but one well known to most who are into kinky sex. I wanted it to be more of a thought experiment: what kind of world would a world with just kinky people in it be? How would kink culture express itself if it were the dominant culture?

And that's where collaring comes in. To start with, of course, there's a personal collar, where a Master or Mistress gives a sub a collar proclaiming her or him the property of said Master or Mistress, with text that typically says, “XXX, property of ZZZ.” It would probably be the most common sort of collar, and the most sought-after collar.

There would also be Free Use collars, for women who want to have sex with just about anyone, anytime, with some kind of clearly visible hatching that lets Free Use collars be easily identifiable in a crowd or on the street.

There would also be institutional collars, or work collars, that let people know the wearer is on business. Women who have personal collars might have a work tag they hang from one of their personal collar rings, or maybe they'd wear two collars. It would be a matter of taste and practicality.

But work collars would also serve to let women who want a collar but aren't currently in a relationship go about their day without being collared by Masters looking for slaves.

And there would be asexual collars for men and women who don't want to be bothered, or whom are actually asexual, and Temple of the Collar collars for those in service or claiming shelter at a Temple of the Collar, as in the opening of Collar Dread. (I'll save a full explanation of the Temple of the Collar for another post.)

Of course, most Mistresses and Masters wouldn't wear collars at all. They'd be putting collars on the submissives. The lack of a collar would suffice to declare their status.

The point is, on Collar World most people can find a collar (or lack of one) that they are psychologically comfortable wearing. Everyone who wants to feel owned, and most women on Collar World do, can feel owned, generally by a personal Master or Mistress.

I did do one thing in my Collar World stories that I had to for the sake of their salability in the marketplace. And I made some other changes as a result, but more about that in another column. I think I've laid the groundwork here.

The Collar: Advanced Science Fiction Thinking

Some of my most advanced science fiction thinking has been on the topic of collars and collaring, for my Collar World series, which is six books long now, counting works in progress. Already published are “Stolen Collar, Stolen Heart,” a novel, “Collar Dread,” another novel, “Crazy Aunts and Scary Uncles,” a 38,000-word novelette, and “Campus Slut Run,” a 9000-word short story. In the works are “The Visitor from Incel World” (a completed novel, but in editing) and Conquest of Incel World, which I'm about 60,000 words into, but will likely run to 80,000 words or more.

You can find the Amazon links to buy them all at my International Bookstore site.

I've invested a lot into Collar World, but that's primarily because I did some world-building before I set pen to paper. One thing I gave a lot of thought to was the technology of collars.

Currently, collars are inert pieces of metal that are often beautifully designed for aesthetic and functional reasons, but in my Collar World series, they're much more than that.

This slave collar looks like it could hide the guts of three or four cell phones inside it and still be plenty thick enough to be an effective restraint.

In Collar World, collars are filled with all sorts of tech wizardry. They have GPS locators so their wearers can't get lost, they function as cell phones and as credit cards. They can also record video and conversations. Basically, anything a cell phone can do, a collar can do.

This collar could probably hide just one cell-phone-equvalent's worth of electronics but one is all that's needed.

The collar can be linked to a dedicated controller, a screen or a desktop controller via cord, bluetooth or wifi, depending.

I don't see why any of this tech isn't possible right now with present day tech. Of course, the collar would have to be a large, thick one, either a leather collar with pockets to hold the electronics or a large metal collar with a hollow interior to hold the electronics. A thin wire necklace collar wouldn't do, though I'm sure if tech collars became popular, Apple would design one.

This isn't completely original with me. In Second Life they have virtual collars that can do all this and more besides, restricting the wearer's sight, hearing and ability to move around in the game, and making their body assume poses whether the wearer likes it or not.

But real life collars that have most functions of a cell phone are, to my mind, definitely possible. Frankly I don't know why we haven't seen them for sale in the specialty websites yet. Well, I do have some guesses, mostly based on ignorance.

For example, I remember reading about the electronic fields created by cell phones was at one time a concern, that having the phones on one's body could lead to sterility, etc.  I don't recall anything ever coming of that, so it probably is not a big deal, but I don't KNOW if that's true. Could be some concerns with wearing a microwave/bluetooth/wifi emitter around your neck. I don't know. But the guys at scifi worldbuilding might.

There may also be cultural barriers. If collars as phones or credit cards for subs became a common thing, phone services might not be willing to carry collar phones, and/or banks might not be willing to process credit transactions from collars.

I don't know that that's the case, just guessing that there might be problems. Banks tend to separate themselves from the sexy.

There might also be physical stresses on the electronics in a collar, but ordinary cell phones have to endure a lot of stress too, and they mostly do all right. And frankly, I think a large metal collar would provide much better protection for the electronics within it than your average cell phone casing, and still keep its wearer securely attached to the bed/post/whatever.

Well, there you have it. Advanced collar tech for the busy sub on the go. Probably not feasible because people get so freaked out about sex in our current culture. But there's no TECHNICAL reason why they couldn't exist, that I know of.

I've also given a lot of advanced science fictional thought to how widely accepted collars for slavegirls (as on Collar World) might work. More on that later.

In the meantime, one of you builders of collars get out there and make my techno-collar visions come true.

Advanced Science Fiction Thinking!

It's my considered opinion as a known science fiction writer that as soon as medical nanotech makes it feasible, the nanoclit will come into being.

A nanoclit would be a cluster of nerve cells that induce orgasm when stimulated, much as the OC (Original Clit) does. Nanoclits could be implanted anywhere in the body, but I suspect that favorite places would include the throat and rectum, and perhaps the nipples.

A woman (or a man) thusly equipped could have orgasms from oral and anal sex just as powerful -- maybe even more powerful -- than in the vagina (well, a man couldn't, not having a vagina). You can see how appealing this would be for everyone involved. Women and gay men would be all over that shit, and their lovers would be all over them having it.

That's basic science fiction thinking, so far. Easy-peasy.

Advanced scientific thinking would involve realizing that no matter how pleasurable the sensations created by oral and anal clits might be, SOME people are going to maintain that REAL women and REAL gay men can obtain orgasms through oral and anal sex WITHOUT anal or oral clits, that this is indeed the test of TRUE LOVE. It might not be a WIDESPREAD belief, but some will hold it.

(I know women can have orgasms via blowjobs and anal sex, but not as easily as by stimulating an actual clit, because clits are MADE to create orgasms via stimulation.)

But wait, there's more. I can also envision a future where some people would encourage their daughters to get oral and anal clits upon reaching puberty, as a way of decreasing the chances of them getting pregnant via PIV (Penis In Vagina) intercourse. The idea of course being that if oral and anal sex is just as pleasurable as vaginal sex, and MUCH safer, then their daughters will eschew vaginal sex, and have a much lesser chance of an unplanned pregnancy.

But wait, there's EVEN MORE. Another likely outcome will be that SOME young women would be all for PIV sex, BECAUSE it's riskier.

That's advanced science fiction thinking. I've not gone beyond the basic stuff in any of my stories, with regard to nanoclits, as most of my characters have either been fully adjusted slavegirls who use the nanoclits to the fullest, or in one case, in Jessica's Virgin Auction a woman raised by extremely repressed fundamentalists who would never think of getting their daughter a clit of any kind, in fact, they're not crazy about her OC. I do use some advanced science fiction thinking there, hypothesizing that restrictive parents like Jessica's might use advanced tech to create an Orwellian nightmare of sexual surveillance for her, far beyond what current-day fundamentalists can manage. (BTW, you can pick up "Jessica's Virgin Auction" along with "Mia the Contortionist" and "Yard Sale Slut" in my Tavern Slut Trilogy. In the same vein, in the Collar World series … well, best save something for next post.

Of course, sometimes something as simple as a knee to the groin is all it takes to have a powerful effect.

Collar Dread: Making Trouble In Paradise

International Bookstore Link
Amazon US Link

So one of the problems of creating a utopia in a story is that they can be dull reading. Happy happy nice nice forever is great for the protagonists, but it's dull for readers. That's why romance novels always have the HEA (Happily Ever After) at the end of the story.

My favorite solution to this problem is the one devised by Ian Banks for his Culture novels. The Culture is an interstellar empire where everybody leads a wonderful life because some very smart, very capable artificial intelligences actually run the society and handle all the heavy stuff like warfare. But the Culture is surrounded by less desirable human civilizations that range from early medieval civilizations to full spacefaring civilizations whose leaders aren't willing to cede power to any artificial intelligences.

The non-Culture civilizations run the gamut from well-run civilizations that get on quite well with the Culture to real  crapsack worlds that the Culture tends to interfere with to minimize human misery. It falls to a section called Special Circumstances to deal with such civilizaitons, and most Culture novels are about Special Circumstances agents having a perilous time dealing with crapsack worlds.

Collar World is definitely a utopia of sorts, and I've had to think how to keep the stories from being dull. The first Collar World story was easy, it was a Young Adult erotic romance that had built-in conflict. Romantic issues can happen even in paradise.

And for my next story, I decided to go with using the very feature that makes Collar World a utopia, the Collar Climax. A deep and life-changing psychological transformation that occurs when a submissive is collared by the right Master (or Mistress, if that is her inclination), Collar Climax has changed civilization on Collar World for the better. It is a combination of going into subspace, falling in love and experiencing an epiphany that leaves the slavegirl feeling calm and clear of thought. It may not make her more intelligent, but it makes her sane, better able to access her own intelligence for her own sake, and the sake of others she cares about.

(Disclaimer: although Collar Climax is based on psychological effects submissives have reported, particularly entering subspace, its long term effects are entirely fictional, so far as I know.)

It occurred to me that deep and long-lasting psychological changes incurred by collaring could be scary. One moment, you are you, the next moment Collar Climax has transformed you into someone else.

And that's when I came up with the idea of Collar Dread. For most women, Collar Dread might exist just as a sense of mild anxiety that you might get with any major psychological change, no matter how eagerly anticipated. But for some it's an overwhelming dread that can lead some of them to extremes, even suicide.

So the protagonist of Collar Dread is an orphan who has turned 18 and had to leave the orphanage, and now faces imminent collaring. For most female orphans this is a happy moment, when she will be able to find a Master of her very own to love her and be loved by her.

But for Arlette Spencer, it was a time of Collar Dread. An orphan, she knew the worst could happen to her, because it had. With a powerful libido, she knew her body's ability to control her. Extremely bright, she feared her mind shutting down when she took a man's collar, becoming a sex zombie, capable of nothing but lusting after the man that owned her.

The story is about Arlette trying to deal with her Collar Dread, finding a way out before she was involuntarily collared or fell to the dark forces that preyed on girls who could not find a collar.

Collar Dread has been one of the best sellers from my back catalog. I'm not surprised.

Writing sex scenes in mainstream stories is incredibly tricky

Had a good day of writing today. I was having trouble with how to make a sex scene work for my Dana Scull – er, Diana Stark character in the sequel to “The Visitor from Incel World,” (working title is “Conquest of Incel World”). The rough draft is about at the 60,000 word mark right now but is nowhere near finished. I'm looking at 80,000 words, maybe more. Hey, epic!
I find it's harder to write sex scenes for non-erotic work. You'd think it would be easier, since you're leaving most of the sex out. But NOOOOOO, it's more difficult, dammit. Because you want to write the stuff that leads to the sex scene, and, if it's supposed to be a scene where the characters form a stronger bond (become lovers or marry or whatever) then it should be a sexy sex scene, and that's damned hard when you can't include the sex. You just have to kind of lead up to it and then skip over to afterward and say, “and everybody had a wonderful time and loved each other very much as a result” or else describe it in sufficiently vague terms that no one could possibly get aroused by reading about it, like, “And then he threw his manliness over her, and she wrapped herself in it it was the finest silken blanket every, and together they made the bed in the filthiest manner imaginable, and fell in love as a result.”
Seriously, what I try to do is set up the fantasy fuel situation so the reader can have a pretty good time imaging what went on, trying to set it up as well as Norman did in his heyday. But the rules were different then. Now I have to be a lot more careful than Norman ever did.
(I kind you not, I once found a copy of “Dancer of Gor” with its virgin auction scene with the heroine fucked hooded and in bondage by 17 different men on the night she loses her virginity (after the auction) on a rack of paperbacks in the YOUNG ADULT section of a PUBLIC LIBRARY. Granted, it was probably a mistake, but for some lucky young adult, a FUN mistake.)
We live in weird times now, and I'm not talking about politics. We have to write so carefully to satisfy such weird anti-fetishes of the publishes and distributors. As for you readers out there who like reading sexy stuff, the attitude of publishers and distributors is clearly FUCK YOU!.
They honestly do not give a shit about you.

Here's some good, honest visual porn. You're welcome.

Story Ideas Are Everywhere

Here's another great story idea from a photo:

As she sat on the park bench with her lover, she fantasized about being his slavegirl for real, in public, and the force of her fantasies were so strong that for a moment they bridged the temporal gap between her world and Collar World, and for a few minutes a naked slavegirl knelt beside her bench, and another naked slavegirl shopped for her Master in a shop that faded into nothingness as it approached the street.
Story ideas are easy. Figuring out which ones are worth writing up is hard. And nascent ideas like this, they sometimes are converted into scenes in longer works. This is one of the chief pleasures of writing, of looking at the world as a source of inspiration rather than just a series of occurrences.

And you know what ELSE is everywhere?

Getting Inspired, The Fun Way

I never know where the inspiration for an erotic short will come from. But often, it's an evocative photo that pushes it well beyond just an image of a specific person, place or event.  It's a photo that somehow implies relationships between the people pictured, or a world beyond the scene pictured.

Many porn images and in particular kinky porn images do that to some extent or another, evoking another, sexier world than most of us live in. Here are a couple of examples:

“She crouched on the bed, legs spread wide, naked, alert to the least signal from the one who held her leash. How odd that her gender studies degree from Bryn Mawr had led her exactly, precisely, to this moment, this situation. She was furious and ashamed that she was in this situation, but she couldn't stop it, couldn't say the safeword that would end it.”

It's mostly the expression on the woman's face that does it here. She has a wry, rueful expression, as if she is thinkng about how she got in that situation. So my mind easily generates a story about how it happened. Might be a good story idea, might not, but definitely worth considering.

This is a photo that has a great story in it. I don't know where it came from or who took it, but it's wonderful work. It shows two women, one standing, one kneeling. The standing woman is wearing a dress that goes down to her ankles. She's standing next to a trellis of some sort, hanging onto it with one hand as if for balance. One leg is slightly extended and she's wearing ballet slippers. Her foot is raised and resting on the tip of her toes, in the position ballet dancers call "en pointe." She's looking off to her left, outside the frame of the image. Her hair is swept up, her expression is calculating and thoughtful, perhaps a bit of lust or avarice in there, too -- some kind of desire, in any event. And definitely some apprehension, too.

Behind her some tree limbs partially obscure some lighted orange globes, along with some geometrical webbing of some sort. In front of one of the globes four butterflies are suspended in the air, wings fully extended, looking kind of artificial.

It's all very proper, the sort of thing that could hang in a ballet school hallway without raising an eyebrow -- except for the other woman, of course. She is stark naked except for a large string of beads around her neck. She kneels to the standing woman's right, and she's looking off to the left as well, probably at the same thing the standing woman is looking at. Her expression is a welcoming smile. And she's holding her hands behind her back as if bound, which in conjunction with the kneeling emphasizes her large breasts even more.

Furthermore, she has nice curvy hips and a nice round butt which is emphasized by the way her butt sticks out as she kneels, undoubtedly more than it needs to.

What are these two looking at? We don't know, but we can guess, and what we'd guess is, a man. A man they both find intriguing and attractive. And their bodies both express their attraction in different ways. The standing woman is calculating, apprehensive, yet that en pointe foot suggests she's ready to pivot to her left at any moment. Or to the right.

The kneeling woman is much more open in her response, the welcoming smile and outthrust butt say it all. She wants a piece of whatever or whoever she's looking at to the left, and she wants that piece inside her body.

Also of considerable interest is the relationship between the two women. Their physical closeness implies personal closeness as well. Mistress and slavegirl might be a good guess. Friends whose lives have diverged greatly, but who remain friends is another one. Also, they might both be one and the same woman, the kneeling woman a visual expression of her libido as she looks at the man, the standing woman an expression of her conscious mind with its calculation.

There are other interesting questions, too. Like, the background suggests a party of some sort. But at what sort of party do you bring a naked slavegirl? (Answer: a FUN party!) Or maybe it's a theatrical production and they're onstage. What sort of production? Well, one that involves nudity, that's for sure. Rules a lot of stuff right out, though as I recall the BBC did some nekkid Shakespeare.

There's also something a little racial going on. The kneeling woman has broad cheeks and a snub nose, she doesn't look all that Caucasian. The standing woman looks very Caucasian. Is this supposed to be the American South slavery, stylized? Or is it Slavery involving the Middle East or Asia? It's hard to say, once again, there's nothing that really spells it out for me.

I found this piece of artwork on the virtual wall of a virtual tavern in Second Life Gor, years ago. I have no idea where it originates. I did some research but it came up blank. There is a name underneath the image, ANGELa Blank, and there is a German photogrpaher named Angela Blank, but I can't link the two.

There may be a prosaic answer to these questions, I don't know. But I do know that answering the questions leads to some interesting story ideas. What do you think? I'm not sure which story I want to write, if any. Could I write a story worthy of this image? I'm not sure.

Might be fun to try, though.

Doesn't matter – the mystery only makes the image more intriguing.)

The Visitor From Incel World: Questions for Beta Readers

I've had The Visitor from Incel World posted to Wattpad for about a week and I've had almost 50 reads. Yay!

And 0 feedback from beta readers. Boo!

In thinking about why this might be so, it occurred to me that it would be intelligent of me to have some specific questions for beta readers to answer. So I made up a list of eight questions. Well, each question has sub-questions, but I don't expect every beta reader to answer every question, they're mostly just to jog readers' memories and to let them know what information I'll find useful, and change the story for.

Here are those questions, and here's the link to "The Visitor from Incel World" in case you want to give it a read.
1. General impression -- was the book a fast read? Was it a slog? Did you like it? Was it a fun read or did it bore you? That kind of thing.
2. Pacing. Did some sections just zip along, while others were a slog? If so, which sections were a slog?
3. Plot: do you feel the story resolved itself nicely? Were any major plot points left hanging other than those that were obviously intentionally left hanging? (Writing the sequel right now!) Were there any cases of idiot plot, where the plot will only work if someone does something really stupid?
4. Characters -- were the characters appealing and interesting? Were they realistic? Did they do some things that were obviously stupid and/or out of character?
5. Setting -- Was Collar World interesting? Did you wind up wanting to know more about it? Did everything seem consistent?
6. Craftsmanship -- Were there enough spelling or grammar errors to annoy you or make some passages difficult to read? Were there any particularities of style, such as using “slavegirl” instead of “slave girl” that were an issue for you?
7. Humor -- were the parts that were supposed to be funny actually funny? Did the humor make you laugh or at least smile? Was it out of place in some scenes? Did it detract from the dramatic tension of the story?
8. Sex -- Collar World is a very different place, sexually, where everyone is kinky and has no problem with public nudity or public sex. I tried to keep it from being too “in your face” but I also wanted to give Ariana something to react to. I also wanted it to give an otherworldly feel to Collar World. Did you generally find this successful? Or unsuccessful? Were there any aspects of the sexiness that you liked/disliked?

Thanks for reading “The Visitor from Incel World.” I hope you enjoyed it, and thanks for any input you can provide. We all want better books out there, you might be the one whose comment makes a difference in this case.

Meanwhile, here's lovely Emma Hart in a Gorean slave position known as “nadu.” Now some say  that in nadu the palms should be facing upward, but personally, I could care less. Either way, it's Yowzahville!

How Do You Deal With An Idiot Thief In A Basic Income World?

One of the problems of looking at a future post-scarcity society with free housing, food, clothing, transportation and medical care for everyone is: what do you do with the incorrigibles who can't manage to lead a decent life even under those conditions?

I answered that question and got in some sex slavery content in Katie: Pet Shop Girls #1.. (And yes, it's a freebie.) All you have to do to live a very pleasant life in Katie's Basic Income world is don't commit violent acts against others and don't steal things. If you can manage that, you're golden.

Katie is a nice girl, but she's got no morals and she's dumb as a rock. She gets every toy and bit of clothing she could want from her personal 3D printer, all she has to do is pay the gnerally very minimal price for the design and then print out whatever she likes.

There are luxury, non-printed, items though. They are handmade one of a kind stuff. Generally poor but pretty girls like Katie get such things as gifts from Basic Income boys that date them, in the hopes that they'll get laid, which … they often do.  But Katie sees a nice dress her friend gets from a boy, and envies it, and steal it, because she's just that dumb. And as we all know from the legend of Florida Man, there is just no limit on human dumbness.

Well what do you do to punish a Basic Income person who is used to having just a room to live in? Logically, you take away their 3D printer so no toys for a while. But I decided to go one better and have the punishment be having your mind reworked by an AI so you can't steal/commit violence any more. It's a scary thing, because although you come out of it unharmed, you just aren't who you were before you had the surgery. You CAN'T steal or commit violence.

But pretty girls like Katie have another option, they can volunteer to be Pet Shop girls, basically sex slaves for wealthier people (like the very small percentage of people who have actual jobs instead of just gigs).

Since Katie volunteers for it, it's not EXACTLY slavery, but since her only other option is not being Katie any more thanks to psycho-surgery, it's got a definite sex slavery vibe going, especially thanks to all the sexual bondage scenes I wrote for it.

It's another freebie, designed to get you interested in Nataly, the Violent Virgin, which I think is one of my better works. And both are far too hot for Amazon.

I've run this photo before on my subreddit but  on my blog, not so much. And I love this photo -- look at that eleoquent body language. She's tied up to a fare-the-well and sucking that guy's cock, but look at how relaxed her hands are in her bonds. She is completely comfortable right where she is, and she's completely comfortable doing what she's doing. Look at how relaxed her face is. She trusts her use Master and there is no place she'd rather be, nothing else she'd rather be doing. She is truly in the moment. Wonderful image.
