Deviant Art Site Update Info

Do you ever get the feeling that you're being stared at by unseen eyes?

Copyright 2026 by Pat Powers

I have generated a LOT of promotional images for my books over the past couple of years and I've decided it's time to put those images to work. I'm going to upgrade my Deviant Art page that I created years ago, posting ALL the AI art images I've created there. Well, not ALL of them. The blunders and mildly crappy ones are being filtered out by me even as we speak. (The REALLY crappy ones that are also funny WILL be posted.) I look forward to entertaining people there!

The Key To Great BDSM Erotica!

She could only hope that, concealed in the dim light of her cage, her large and weirdly twisted feet would not throw off potential owners... or attract the worst kind of owners!

The thing that make the very best maledom/femsub stories truly stand out is of course, carrotization, carrotization, carrotization!

OK, I apologize for that. But when I saw this artworked that Civitai had created for me, totally unasked, I Could Not Resist! Sure, it's an awful and totally uncalled-for bit of wordplay, but I ASK you, how could I resist?

I do think that visitors to this blog should feel free to express their disgust with this horrible Dad pun, and the best way for them to do so will be to buy my book, "Temptation and The Gambler!" which you can do by clicking right here or clicking on the horrible visual pun image above. That'll learn me!

Always "Borrow" From the Best

*The second line here is "borrowed" from an episode of "The Simpsons" TV series, specifically, "Homer's Enemy" which is absolutely the best half hour of black humor in the history of television, for my money. In it, we meet Frank Grimes, an industrious and virtuous (but perhaps a little tightly wound) man who, as a result of a disastrous silo explosion had to teach himself to walk, talk and feel pain to recover. His encounter with Homer and his family leads him to give a blistering rant in which he compares his life to Homer's and at one point he says, "You have a beautiful house in a peaceful suburb. I live in a cramped apartment over a bowling alley and under ANOTHER bowling alley!"

And the lesson here is, always steal from the best. Also, watch that episode of "Homer's Enemy" it's fucking hilarious.

What Was She Thinking?

Just a little Civitai whatnot to keep Google from getting all censorious on me. Enjoy your visit!

Lesbianism: Weirder Than I Thought!

Civitai AI art placed here to keep Google from nerfing my blog. Enjoy your visit to this page.

So this is what lesbian sex is all about: making pieces of plastic happy! It's even kinkier than I thought!

Behold the Horror of Civitai AI Botches

Here's a few of the weird-looking disasters I got while trying to use Civitai to create sexy, kinky images in the midst of the credit-card company crackdown on sexiness. To be fair, these images were exceptions. Most of the images I got had minor issues like a deformed hand or wonky eyes in an otherwise all right picture. And much more frequently than I got these monstrosities, I got very nice, very usable art, which I have been using to promote my books. And when AI is good, it can be very, very good.

Yeah, this is straight-up body horror. I did not ask for anything like this. As I recall I was going for a fairly prosaic porn pose, but the Pornmaster model I was working with gave me more, and less, than I had bargained for.
Another bit of horror imagery brought to life unasked. This was from SDXL with no model, just a prompt for a naked woman tied to a bed spreadeagled with ropes. SDXL never did manage to actually tie the woman with ropes, though it did put ropes in every iteration, just lying around looking ropey. This is the worst of the lot, with most of her body sunken into the bed and both hands deformed and horrible. Hence her expression. SDXL got that right!

So I decided to try prompting SDXL with a request for an image in an artistic style rather than a photorealistic style. In this case I went with pulp novel cover art because I love that stuff. And this was the absolute worst of them. Once again, I just wanted a woman tied to a bed. Where SDXL got this, I have no idea, and I don't want to know, either. (To be fair, most of the images were much better than this. They just didn't include nudity or bondage. But very nice otherwise!)

The thing that gives AI art its particular horror when it strays off the reservation is that parts of the image look so human and real and then other parts get twisted in weird nonhuman ways but also, very realistically... and it's that realistic weirdness that does the trick.

And then there's the images where the AI art really seems to be getting the hang of it, until you notice the model has three legs, one of which ends in a hand... a beautifully rendered hand, mind you, and also with an extra handish thing growing out of her knee. And of course those wonky, wonky eyes.

And at the far end of the spectrum, you get this... the poor woman is just a fading greasy spot on the wall with meaningless iron bars around her. I mean, it could be a woman, but the only part the AI got right was the leg. And it didn't get the leg all THAT right, just looks better than the brown blobs that constitute the rest of the figure.

A lot of my work is image to image work, where you give the AI software a guiding image for it to work from, often in conjunction with a prompt. At left you see my guiding image, a vidcap of a Second Life avatar. At center you see the result I got from Civitai using a simple prompt, "A beautiful woman kneels." As you can see, the Second Life avatar is infinitely better than the "improved" AI version. But on the right you see the version that Leonardo came up with. Images like that are the reason I like working with AI.

But you know, as I put this post together the Civitai version of the kneeling SL cutie kept reminding me of something. And I soon remembered what it was: It was the botched restoration of the famous historical masterpiece painting of Christ, "Ecce Homo." (I thought it was Italian for "no homo" but it actually means "Behold the Man" which makes more sense.) The flattened colors and the cruder artwork are both there in the botched version of Ecce Homo and in the botched AI version of the SL avatar. But what really nails it is the warped lips, the simplified eyes, the absolutely crude eyebrows. It's truly an eerie echo, and yet at the same time, it's a truly inspiring example of the way both artificial intelligence and natural stupidity can bring us all together to say, "Eew!"

"So this is my life now, naked, bound and sucking on strangers' cocks. Well at least it's better than that gig I had as President Trump's press spokesperson."

Leonardo AI Walks The Dinosaur Just For Fun

This is how it started, an image created in Second Life. Found a jungle set with a tyrannosaur and posed an avatar in front of it and took some pix. Came out great, pure B-movie excitement! Would work as sweat mag art too. But I thought I'd make a video from it.

The AI did a pretty good job overall with everything except of course the armbinder. That was shiny metal in the original, but somehow Leonardo wanted to turn the metal into soft, breathable fabric in every iteration. But at least the bondage gear was still there. I actually wrote 'with her wrists cuffed behind her back" because cuffs sounds like it could be crime or adventure related, not necessarily a bad evil awful sex thing. And it worked, except when I converted it to motion...

My prompt for all four videos was something close to this: "A woman with her arms cuffed behind her back sees a tyrannosaur. She spins and runs toward the camera with her hands still cuffed behind her back, screaming in terror, with the tyrannosaur chasing her."

This is the best of the four videos I made. In each and every case, as soon as the woman spins around her armbinder magically disappears or morphs into cloth armbands that don't hinder her arm movements at all. She's pumping those arms as she runs. Screaming too.

Also, our heroine is stark naked in the initial Second Life pic. And Leonardo AI kept her stark naked in the still image it created of her. But on each and every video they put a bikini on her. When it's that consistent, it's gotta be censorship. Great. Censorship is why I stopped my Kling subscription.

But you know what? Bad as it is, my video is more exciting and lifelike than almost every stop motion dinosaur scene from the 1920s to the 1960s. People who think CGI isn't great stuff for SF movies are just crazy. How can you not see how much better modern movies look than the absolute CRAP we got for SF movie special effects and props in the old days? I remember watching "Quatermass and the Pit" which had a pretty good script and solid acting, for the most part, and just laughing when the body of one of the Martians was an obvious two-meter long plastic replica of a cricket. So pathetic.

And of course those old movies had budgets ranging from tens of thousands of dollars to millions, with most somewhere in the hundreds of thousands. You know what I could do with a budgets of a hundred thousand dollars and my present gear? I could spend a hundred bucks on video production and $99,900 on hookers and blow, that's what!

I know how Hollywood accounting works.
