"Well no wonder the slave girls aren't selling! You've got them sitting right under the fish racks! What the HELL were you thinking? Go bathe the lot of them and sit them over by the spice merchants! Idiot!"
Image is a publicity still from the recent "Conan the Barbarian" movie, which by all accounts was ruined by a similar error ... gave the movie to a known idiot director. What the HELL were they thinking?

Beats me all to hell. With all those CGI effects, they just couldn't top a low tech 80's Schwarzenegger vehicle that had even less to do with the books than this movie did.
You're an appalling piece of work
Pat, but in the absence of dear
old Greyman you'll have to do for
the time being!
Well, Sasha, although I am a huge fan of CGI, it just can't overcome directorial incompetence. Kind of the same thing happened with "Mystery Men" I heard ... they gave it to a director whose previous experience had been strictly with commercial, and he just screwed it. He had a crew of topnotch comic actors: Ben Stiller, Janeane Garafolo, Hank Azaria, etc., and when they ad-libbed lines that were actually funny, he shut them up and made them stick to the much lamer script. What an idiot! I hear the director on this one did a similarly tone-deaf job.
Well, Jonty, I will be the first to admit that I am a poor substitute indeed for the Greyman, but I think I make a pretty good me. And I will always stand for a toast to the Greyman! Welcome aboard!
I'm glad Roseanne is still getting work, though.
yes, and getting work at a level commensurate with her acting skills. Welcome aboard, Marc.
