So, my flying monkeys brought in this story about a Kickstarter project called Superheroes In Bondage. The relatively modest budget of a little over $4000 allowed model and writer Lela Gwenn to travel to the studios of photographer Richard Kadrey and do a photoshoot of her dressed up as Catwoman (see above), Harley Quinn, Death and Leelo from Fifth Element, all of them in various states and forms of bondage. Now here's what kills me about these pics. The rules I know about porn as far as big advertisers is, if you got boobies, it's porn. If you got naked vagina, as I09 and the Huffington Post have, it's HARDCORE PORN.

You know, porn like this blog is porn, according to Adsense, which won't run ads on my blog because it's so goddam porny. Huffington Post and I09 meanwhile, are awash in mainstream advertisers. Now granted, they don't run images of naked women, or naked women having sex, with every story, then again, neither do I. (My stories' naked women frequency may be a TAD higher than theirs, I'll admit.) But the rule is, if you have just one image of a naked breast, you're porn! A vagina with the labial lips hanging out? Porn! Porn! Porn! No mainstream advertisers for YOU and you get stuck behind an "I'm an adult" wall!

Give. Me. A. Fucking. Break! It's pure bullshit! There is no porn! There is no erotica! There is no mainstream! There are only articles, about sex or bondage or other things, well done or badly done. Everything else is a fucking lie.

Is this so far from what I09 has shown? Here we have Scarlet Johanson and Anne Hathaway as Poison Ivy and Catwoman, respectively, in nude bondage with their vaginas displayed. Christina's World: New, Improved, Urbanized and Sexualized!

On the top, we have the original "Christina's World," a famous painting by Andrew Wyeth. On the bottom, we have the new, urban, updated "Christina's World" with twice the attitude and a million times the sexitude, a photo from Public Disgrace.

In both images, we have women who are hampered in their ability to move, one in a landscape of rural squalor, the other in a landscape of urban blight. One has clothes on, the other is naked. One is tied up, the other is not tied up.

But other than that, they are exactly the same! And strangely, have a similar mood, though I guess there is an element of hidden danger in the urban scene that is missing in the rural scene, which could really have used a thresher approaching in the distance. I should probably write the Wyeth curators a note.

Ya know, we stay so busy being sexy and bondage-y that sometimes we forget just how fricking funny sexual bondage is. Well, I don't, but to judge from a lot of websites, plenty of others do.

And you can't help but smile in response. A very good thing.

Katherine Heigl and Others In Excellent Fake Bondage

Found a site with some really interesting and well done fakes of celebrities in bondage, CelebDungeon.com. In many instances, the celebrities are shown in hardcore sexual bondage. The fakes look like illustrations, and they basically are, but I'm betting the figures begin as photomanips, then get a LOT of Photoshop filtering and touch-up, as well as maybe some Poser manipulation, because that floor Heigl is lying on sure looks like a top quality Poser floor to me.

But aside from wondering how they did it, the quality of the images is topnotch -- the celebrity faces are very well done, you don't need a caption to tell which celebrity is which if you are familiar with the celebrity (as is the case with some bondage fakes). The quality varies, this one is not as good as most, but I've got a weakness for Katherine Heigl. It's a pay site, but there are a lot of free images to look at if you are interested, and I think you will be. I am not sure what you will be getting if you join the site (I've made inquiries) so caveat emptor if you decide to join.
